Fringe Furniture - Opening Night

Wednesday 23rd September was opening night of the Fringe Furniture exhibition at the "Fringe Hub" of the Arts House, Meat Market in North Melbourne.

The opening night of the exhibition was a bohemian mixture of a live performance art show, a festival opening ceremony, an awards presentation and an opportunity for people to enjoy a beer or wine a walk through and eclectic collection of furniture pieces.

The theme for the Fringe Furniture exhibition this year is "Silver", celebrating the 25th anniversary of the exhibition. CAPRON design is very proud to be a part of Fringe Furniture for 2009, exhibiting the RIENT Stool.

Fringe Furniture 2009
2009 marks the 25th anniversary of Fringe Furniture as a part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. This year's theme "Silver" has been interpreted literally, symbolically, spiritually and broadly by the artists and designers who have entered work into the exhibition.

The collection is a very broad sample of Melbourne (and Australia's) creative talent. The exhibition runs from the 24th September to the 10th of October, in the Arts House, Meat Market at 5 Blackwood Street, North Melbourne.

The exhibition is open to the public and entry is free of charge. The venue also has a bar serving beers, wine, soft drink and snacks at usual prices.

So if you have a bit of time, head to Fringe Furniture 2009 and check out the RIENT Stool, among others.
