Fringe Furniture 2009 - Opening Night
On the 23rd September the 25th Fringe Furniture exhibition was opened, with the theme of “Silver”. CAPRON design was proud to participate by displaying the RIENT Stool. The evening was a bohemian mixture of a live performance art show, a festival opening ceremony, an awards presentation and an opportunity for people to enjoy a beer or wine a walk through and eclectic collection of furniture pieces.
This year’s theme has been interpreted literally, symbolically, spiritually and broadly by the artists and designers who have entered work into the exhibition.
The collection is a very broad sample of Melbourne (and Australia’s) creative talent. The exhibition runs from the 24th September to the 10th of October, in the Arts House, Meat Market at 5 Blackwood Street, North Melbourne.
The exhibition is open to the public and entry is free of charge.
BLICK - Design Study
BLICK is the result of a design study into casual indoor/outdoor dining seating. The chair is stackable and utilises materials efficiently in order to serve its purpose.
BLICK has been designed to be manufactured using several manufacturing techniques and materials depending on finish requirements and production volumes.

VIVID 2009 - Exhibition Photos
The VIVID 2009 Exhibition from the 16th to 19th July was a great success. We were able to meet lots af interesting and inspiring people and benefit from contributing to and being involved in an excellent community environment.
RIENT Stool
RIENT Stool discusses traditional chair proportions and stool functionality in a visually interesting product manufactured from 100% recycled and recyclable Polyethylene cut sheet elements. The aesthetic of the RIENT Stool is inspired by asian architecture and evokes images of 1930s leather strapped luggage and old world train travel. The product can be used indoors and outdoors.
